Precambrian time
Paleozoic era
The Paleozoic Era was much different than Precambrian Time. At the beginning of the era it was the end of an ice age. At the beginning of the era the climate was not stable. Then during the middle of the era the climate started stabilising. Oxygen levels started increasing and CO2 decreased. When the CO2 decreased this began an ice age. The shape of the continents changed a lot during the Paleozoic Era. People thought that Pangea was the first continent but many didn’t know that there were many continents before Pangea. The earth had to change many times before the earth settled in the era. The Appalachian Mountains formed from a collision with Africa. That some reasons why Paleozoic Era was so much different than the Precambrian Time.
The Plant and Animal life was also much different than Precambrian Time. At the beginning of the Era it was the Explosion of Life. There was an uprise of fish and marine life during the Paleozoic Era. Land animals started evolving but plants got off to a very slow start. There wasn’t much plant life but things started changing at the end of the era. At the end of the era there was the largest mass extinction known to man! The extinction was so big only few reptiles survived and didn’t last long in the Mesozoic Era. That concludes the Paleozoic Era!
